So why this hype about the appointment of a certain Mr. Raymond Donato as the Chief Catering Sales Manager? Well, according to the General Manager of JW Marriott Ihilani, Mr. Donato’s wide knowledge and experience of Hawaii events and weddings make him a natural choice to look after the resorts’ services.
Raymond Donato had served as Food and Beverage Manager with the Marriott’s Ko Olina Beach Club for nine years, before recently joining JW Marriott Ihilani Resort & Spa at Ko Olina.
He had also worked as a Banquet server at the JW Marriott Ihilani Resort & Spa at Ko Olina for 4 years and in all has 21 years of experience in the hospitality industry. In recognition of his outstanding services, he was recognized as an honouree of the prestigious JW Award of Excellence from Marriott International, in the year 2007.
An interesting trivia is that the wedding experience of Mr. Donato goes beyond his career as he is proud to have served as the Bestman in a total of 15 weddings.
